9 ARMADA (CE246) D Whyte -- Began with rest, not rushed early, camped behind speed 4Ls back on rails, travelled well in mid-section, angled 2 wide on circle, 2Ls down on turning, challenged at 250 M cruising past them to score with something in hand.
5 THE DUKE (CB282) O Doleuze -- Jumped well, allowed to slide forward to challenge for front, applied pressure and eventually took up front, 2Ls clear on bend, shaded by outside horse turning in, kicked strongly in straight holding them for 2nd.
10 FLORAL PEGASUS (CG011) R Fradd TT Fast into stride, held early lead with ease, pressured and eventually took trail behind the leader, angled 2 wide on bend, came with strong run briefly hitting lead at 200 M, fought solidly to line.
11 SIR ERNESTO (CG051) F Coetzee SR Began well, relaxed move readily than usual, stalked first two 3Ls away, closed on bend to be outside leader, challenged strongly into straight, fought battle for length of straight doing well to make frame (restricted room late).
2 VENGEANCE OF RAIN (CD142) A Delpech TT Even break, slotted into midfield role 5Ls back on rails, enjoyed easy run in mid-section, travelled well tracking 3 wide behind them into straight, within striking distance but just lacked dash to match them last 200 M. Sound effort.
1 BULLISH LUCK (CC155) B Prebble B Tardy to begin, assumed usual role just worse than midfield, on rails 7Ls away in middle stages, not asked in run, travelled well turning in, left flat footed when they sprinted but closed off evenly to be closest on line.
7 BOWMAN'S CROSSING (CB138) G Mosse SR Average to leave gates, drifted back to worse than midfield, raced 2 wide 7Ls from front runners, had to be niggled along at 600 M, switched out in straight, closed off fairly making ground late but couldn't break down margin.
6 ART TRADER (CE131) M Nunes TT Standard break, steadied when crowded early, raced 2 wide in last trio 8Ls away, ridden along to make ground on bend, didn't possess usual finishing burst and only kept on at same pace to line.
4 RUSSIAN PEARL (CE019) D Nikolic TT Bounced out with them, allowed to settle off speed in midfield, raced 2 wide 5Ls away, came 3 wide on circle, switched out but couldn't go up a gear and fitness gave out last 200 M.
3 JOYFUL WINNER (CE045) E Saint-Martin -- Jumped with them, restrained from awkward alley, shared position at the tail 9 to 10Ls away, pushed along to make ground on circle, gave big start on turning in, couldn't make impression but closed off respectably.
8 DAVE'S BEST (CC060) S Dye -- Slowly into stride, raced at tail 9 to 10Ls from leader's lobbed along at rear throughout, had job to do on turning for home, stuck to rails but was one paced to line.
