4 4 EGYPTIAN RA (CE002) E Saint-Martin -- Close up early. Soon took up running, cocking his jaw as usual. Led the field around home bend and into straight but failed to quicken to resist winner's challenge inside 200 M.
5 2 ABLE ONE (CG108) Z Purton -- Settled on rails in midfield. In 6th about 3Ls off turning in. No clear passage early in straight. Kept on well to finish.
6 7 GREEN BIRDIE (CH245) G Boss -- Settled at the back holding rails run. Saved ground on inside turning in. Badly bauled for a run in straight until after 200 M. Made up some late ground.
7 5 DOWN TOWN (CG054) D Whyte TT Settled a 2L 3rd on rails. Caught in a box-seat after straightening. Continued to race tight between and behind runners to the line.
8 8 SURVEY SURVEY (CH070) K L Chui XB/TT Settled just worse than midfield. Made steady headway down centre of straight to be nearest at finish.
9 6 DAVE'S BEST (CC060) G Mosse -- Raced wide in midfield. Similar turning in. Fought on steadily without threatening before yielding near finish.
10 9 NILOMETER (CD052) M Nunes TT Broke well, settling wide towards rear. Made no show in straight.
11 3 JOYFUL WINNER (CE045) D Beadman TT Settled in midfield or just worse. Soon came under pressure after straightening but could make no impression in straight.
12 13 SOUNDS BEST (CE255) M W Leung TT Soon in rear and always struggling.
