3 CALIFORNIA MEMORY (L135) M Chadwick -- Patiently ridden, settled at the rear 9Ls off a steady pace, in a near impossible spot turning in, made strong headway when a gap opened up final 300M, got up near line.
5 XTENSION (M097) D Beadman H/XB Positioned 2-wide ahead of mid-division, angled out to clear near entrance of straight, ran on well and briefly led 100M out, outsprinted by winner closing stages.
7 THUMBS UP (CK005) B Prebble -- Held up towards the rear, switched wide passing 500M for his challenge, looked a possible winner mid-straight with a strong challenge, came close to win but had to settle for 3rd in a close finish.
1 ABLE ONE (CG108) T Clark H Led steadily, continued on well in straight, led to inside 100M, good effort under top weight.
10 SICHUAN SUCCESS (L307) D Whyte TT Never far off leaders but was badly held up on straightening, finished strongly when switched ground nearing 150M and would have featured in the finish if given a clear run.
2 BEAUTY FLASH (CK314) G Mosse TT Tracked leaders along the inside, kept on well but had no answer to winner's late surge, met slight interference near 100M and could have finished closer than the official margin suggested.
4 IRIAN (L187) J Lloyd H Held up in midfield along the fence, had some difficulty obtaining clear run early straight, stayed on final 200M and did reasonably well as a seasonal debut.
14 VAUGIRARD (CK347) C Y Ho -- Switched off to the rear, almost 10Ls off the pace at one stage, switched wide nearing home straight, made steady headway final 300M but not getting to the leaders.
9 MR MEDICI (CK218) B Doyle -- Dropped in behind midfield early stages, not helped by the steady tempo, switched wide nearing 500M for clear run, couldn't find enough to seriously challenge but kept on nonetheless.
12 CERISE CHERRY (L141) Y T Cheng B- From wide barrier crossed to race 3-deep in midfield, left with no cover passing 1000M, ran on at the same pace before fading away final stages.
8 SIGHT WINNER (CJ049) T Angland -- Tracked the pace early, crossed to race outside leader entering home turn, not quickened under pressure early straight, weakened passing 200M.
6 FLYING BLUE (L389) O Doleuze -- Always close up behind leaders but didn't find much when asked inside 400M, weakened mid-straight.
11 KING DANCER (CK129) K C Leung B-/SR Dropped back to near last from draw 14, stayed on only fairly and never threatened.
13 BRAVE KID (CK391) G Cheyne B- Well covered in mid-division but didn't respond under pressure turning for home, never got competitive and dropped to last nearing 200M.
