1 DASHING SUPER (N348) D Whyte V/TT Travelled in second position outside the leader. Was under plenty of pressure after the 500m, to stay in touch. Responded to vigorous riding and came up trumps in the shadows of the post.
7 EL GRANDE (L378) C Y Ho -- Parked 4th on the fence had cover. Hit the lead at the furlong and looked the likely winner but was out dulled in the run to the wire.
11 SUPER CAGA (CK054) K C Leung B Effectively raced 3 back the fence with cover. Peeled out before the home turn and closed off soundly under strong riding.
3 OXFORD CHARLEY (P266) N Callan CP-/V1/SR2 Raced ahead of midfield, 1 off with cover. Battled away fairly in the home stretch.
14 SUISSE D'OR (L195) H W Lai B Led along the fence. Quickened the tempo near the 600m, straightened a length in front, faded approaching the furlong.
6 WINNER'S DELIGHT (P290) M Demuro TT Camped behind midfield, posted 4 deep without cover for the majority of the race. Swung the home turn widest, made some progress in the run to the wire.
9 GOOD HONG KONG (M314) Z Purton TT Raced midfield, 3 deep with cover. Only plodded to the line. (Returned lame right fore leg).
4 VERDANE (P184) J Moreira B Posted 3 deep without cover for most of the trip, behind midfield. Was one paced up the running.
13 SUPREME HONG KONG (M219) K Teetan BO Pulled hard in the middle stages racing towards the rear, 3 deep, mostly with cover during the run. Never looked likely.
5 REAL GENERAL (M086) A Suborics SR Crowded at the start, settling behind midfield, 1 off with cover. Failed to make any appreciable ground in the run to the line. (Blood in trachea post-race)
10 LITTLE WIND (N306) C Y Lui B Raced keenly in the early stages on the fence with cover, in last position. Never quickened in the home stretch and finished down the track.
8 FOLLOW THE WIND (M331) K C Ng -- Travelled with the backmakers, 1 off with cover. Never let down and was a beaten horse a long way from home.
2 PERFECT TRIUMPH (P241) W M Lai -- Raced back in the field, on the paint with cover. Struggled in the straight, finishing well back.
12 SOLAR BOY (L213) T H So V Did plenty of work early to go forward and raced wide until about the 1200m, settling 1 out 1 back. Was a spent force prior to straightening.
