2 4 ROYAL AGILITY (D349) K Teetan B/TT Raced three deep in midfield before being left wide & without cover after the 900m mark. Shifted out to be near the outside rail after straightening before closing well all the way to line to finish only a neck behind.
3 1 AMIGOS GIGGLE (E362) K H Chan -- Pushed forward to lead. Shifted away from the rail passing the 500m, straightened in the center of track, headed by the winner at 250m, hung outwards when tying hard in late stages, only beaten a neck into third.
4 13 RUBY STARS (D317) A Badel CP/TT Raced on leaders back for the majority. Steadied from leaders heels approaching 700m, had clear running entering last section when only 1L from the lead before finishing well in final stages to only be beaten 1.5L on line.
5 2 ERNEST FEELING (E209) Z Purton B/TT Shifted across behind runners before racing three wide with cover when worse than midfield. Entered last section 3L from lead, passed a few rivals when running onto 5th place beaten a similar margin.
6 3 SHINY TWO (G041) M Chadwick V/TT Crowded at start before racing third last on rail. Was bumped heavily when attempting to improve between runners at 500m, entered last section about 3L from the lead & finished off only one paced to midfield.
7 11 GALLANT CAVALIER (E238) R Maia V/TT Raced in midfield along the rail throughout. Drifted slightly further back approaching corner, entered last section 3.5L behind, was the only runner to stay along inside rail in straight but could make no relative headway.
8 10 MULTIPLE STAR (D305) H Bentley -- Steadied from gate 12 & taken back to share last place when racing on the rail. Continued at the rear on straightening before passing a few tiring rivals when running onto well beaten midfield finish from the back.
9 6 DRAGON BABY (E098) V Borges E/PC/TT Pushed forward & raced outside the leader. Came out to the center of the track in the straight but emptied on run near the 300m & weakened out quickly in last furlong.
10 7 SHENRON (E284) L Currie XB/TT Drifted back after the start to race worse than midfield between runners. Was bumped heavily near the 500m, entered last section with only two runners behind & failed to run on & was well beaten.
11 12 WONDERFUL FANTASY (E326) H W Lai B Began awkwardly & unbalanced before being trapped racing 4 wide without cover throughout when just worse than midfield. Forced very wide on straightening before failing to run on in the straight. Beaten about 10L.
12 5 TREASURE OF FIELD (E288) A Hamelin B/TT Raced in midfield between runners. Straightened only 2.5L from the lead before emptying mid-straight & weakening out quickly in final stages.
13 9 ATHENA (D103) K C Leung -- Raced in midfield along the rail throughout. Stayed nearer to the rail on straightening when only 2.5L from the lead before weakening very badly in last 150m to be beaten over 11L.
14 14 SUNNY SMILE (D074) H T Mo TT Began well but was steadied from gate 10 and taken back to share last place when away from the rail. Virtually last on straightening & weakened out poorly to be beaten over 11L.
