3 6 FIERY DIAMOND (G022) C L Chau -- Raced in midfield between runners & was keen when pace slower passing 900m. Eased into clear running on straightening when under 3L from the lead before closing off well all the way to be beaten under a length into third.
4 11 HANG'S DECISION (T262) C Y Ho B Drifted back to worse than midfield after the start when racing between runners. Continued 5.5L from the lead on straightening before making late ground in final furlong to be in a bunch under 2L behind.
5 1 HAPPY DAY (G119) J Moreira TT Raced in midfield after start before being forced wider passing 900m when pace slowed. Improved position passing 700m, 4 wide on straightening when only 1L behind before finishing steadily to be in a bunch beaten under 2L.
6 5 WOODFIRE BRO (G115) M F Poon H1/TT Raced 1,1 but was very keen when pace slowed near the 900m. Continued to be keen & was checked off heels 825m, was wider on straightening when just over 3L behind before closing well to be in a bunch beaten under 2L.
7 4 LOVE ME MORE (E018) R Maia CP Raced wide without cover in midfield before improving position when pace slowed to race three wide outside leaders from 800m. Only a neck behind at 400m, battling on well, only over-run late & beaten under 2L.
8 2 DUBLIN STAR (C436) K C Leung B/TT Raced three wide with cover in midfield before racing just worse than midfield after pace slowed passing 900m. Was the widest runner on straightening when just under 6L behind before making up a few lengths late.
9 12 BUDDY SPIRIT (G048) C Wong B Raced on leaders back. Weakened out in last section to be beaten over 6L.
10 13 HEARTY WISH (E343) A Badel SR/TT Raced four wide without cover in midfield in early stages before getting some cover passing 700m. Continued wide on straightening when about 5L from the lead before peaking on run soon after straightening & weakening late.
11 7 YOUNG EXPLORER (G084) A Hamelin CP1 Slow 1L at start before shifting behind runners to the rail. Made ground along inside to midfield before being checked away from heels at 850m. Came under hard riding & lost position before straightening before weakening out.
12 3 SUNSET WATCH (C502) L Currie B-/CP1/TT Steadied from outside gate & taken back to the tail. Continued near the back on straightening before weakening poorly to be long third last. (Lame next day).
