Racing Incident Report

Prior to being presented in the Parade Ring, GO GET THEM had its near side front plate refitted. After arriving at the barriers, Apprentice K C Tsang advised the Veterinary Surgeon that on the way to the Start the horse had stumbled. HOI POLLOI was examined by the Veterinary Surgeon who said that in his opinion the horse was suitable to race. This decision was made after consultation with the rider. GOLD CHARM dwelt as the gates opened and lost some ground. Near the 600 Metres, A PROSPERITY hung out, this inconvenienced TRIUMPHANT MASCOT and obliged that horse to race wider. Approaching and rounding the Home Turn, MONEY hung out. Also approaching and rounding the Home Turn, HIN YUEN'S UNICORN got its head up and hung out. In the early part of the Straight, GOLD CHARM got its head on the side and appeared reluctant to shift out into the clear. Also in the early part of the Straight, GOLDEN CHOICE was awkward on the heels of GO GET THEM and near the winning post GOLDEN CHOICE had some trouble obtaining clear running between HEADING TO WIN and LOTUS SUPREME. About 100 Metres out, HOI POLLOI, which was finding the line strongly from a long way back, was shifted to the inside to try and find running. GOLD CHARM was sent for clinical veterinary examination and routine testing.
