Racing Incident Report
On jumping, KIWI STAR bounded in the air. FULL THROTTLE bumped the outside of its gate. Approaching and rounding the Home Turn, FLAGS UP was awkwardly placed behind HEAVY WEAPON which was giving ground and tight inside TELECOM CHIEF. Then in the early part of the Straight, FLAGS UP continued to experience difficulty obtaining clear running. To obtain running near the 400 Metres, HEAVY WEAPON was shifted out. After the 400 Metres, FULL THROTTLE was steadied and shifted in abruptly to find running and go forward. After passing the post, K S Yu was dislodged from ZABETTE. Apprentice S K Sit (TAMBORA STAR) was advised he should refrain from looking back to the other runners when nicely clear as he was tonight. He was also told the practice of easing horses down that are well in front and before the line is a dangerous one. LUCK AND FORTUNE was sent for clinical veterinary examination and routine testing. After the race, it was reported that LUCK AND FORTUNE had sustained an abrasion on the inside of its off side front fetlock joint.
