Racing Incident Report
COURS VITE jumped awkwardly, then knuckled. Near the winning post the first time, PROUD OF YOU was steadied when momentarily crowded by CHIEF'S FORTUNE (E Saint-Martin). E Saint-Martin was told he must exercise more care. For some distance near the 500 Metres WIN IT ALL was awkward between MILLENNIUM LEGEND and COURS VITE. Approaching the 200 Metres MILLENNIUM LEGEND was steadied and shifted out when disappointed for running inside DRAGON WIN (E Legrix) which after rolling off on the turn shifted back to the rail. E Legrix was told in slightly different circumstances action may have been taken against him. The Stewards overruled an objection lodged by G Mossé, the rider of MILLENNIUM LEGEND, which finished 4th, against DRAGON WIN (E Legrix) being declared the second placegetter. G Mossé had alleged interference to his mount in the Straight. The Stewards considered that whilst DRAGON WIN shifted some ground in the early part of the Straight and did inconvenience MILLENNIUM LEGEND, they did not consider, bearing in mind the length margin between the two runners at the finish, the material extent of the interference justified an alteration of the Judge's placings. The objection was therefore overruled. Accordingly the placings as semaphored were confirmed.
