Racing Incident Report

ENERGY VITALITY was slowly away, was then further inconvenienced when LUCKY SUPREME on leaving the gates shifted in abruptly. On jumping, AUCASH was crowded between AFFAIRE D'AMOUR and ALL THRILLS TOO. DARWIN was slowly away. Near the 200 Metres, AUCASH became unbalanced when awkward on the heels of UNIVERSAL WINNER. In the run to the winning post, ALL THRILLS TOO hung in. Because of this, Apprentice Y T Cheng changed the whip into his right hand. Near the 200 Metres, LOMBARD became momentarily unbalanced. J Egan (LOMBARD) said after this incident the horse did not feel free in its action and he did not ride it right to the line as he normally would. FISH KING was sent for clinical veterinary examination and routine testing. After the race, the Veterinary Surgeon reported that when he examined FISH KING, he noticed the horse had some swelling in the lower part of its off front leg, but in his opinion the horse was not sore in this area.
