Racing Incident Report
GOOD HEAVENS was slowly away. Just after the start, BEST LIGHT was steadied when crowded for room between IDOL and GLYNDEBOURNE. For some distance after the 800 Metres, MAGNIFIER was awkwardly placed between INDUSTRIAL PIONEER which shifted in slightly and CHARMING CITY which shifted out away from RED PEPPER. After the 500 Metres, CHARMING CITY, which was giving ground, became unbalanced when awkward between INDUSTRIAL PIONEER and MERIDIAN STAR which shifted out. Near the 400 Metres, MAGNIFIER was checked and lost its running between BEST LIGHT which was tight inside HELENE VITALITY and MOMENTUM which shifted out from behind CHARMING CITY. About the 200 Metres, GOOD HEAVENS, which was not going on, became unbalanced when crowded between BEST LIGHT and MOMENTUM which shifted out slightly. In the run to the winning post, RED PEPPER shifted out, as a consequence of this K H Ting had to stop riding, straighten and change his whip hand. HELENE VITALITY was sent for clinical veterinary examination and routine testing. After the race, the Veterinary Surgeon said that he noted blood in the near nostril of HELENE VITALITY, however, there was no blood in the horse's larynx and should not be declared a bleeder.
