Racing Incident Report
GOOD RECORD missed the start, was then ridden along in an endeavour to go forward, but shortly after the start was checked off the heels of DOLLARS AND SENSE. GREENMORE left the gates awkwardly and shifted out. When the gates opened, HUANGDI bounded in the air. In the early stages, EXULTATION, which was racing in blinkers for the first time, proved very difficult to settle when racing wide and behind SOMLUCK. Also in the early stages, V-CAN, which was inclined to be pulling, was steadied to avoid the heels of DR MORE. In the Straight, DOLLARS AND SENSE hung in badly. For some distance rounding the Home Turn, TOP LIGHT was awkwardly placed behind LUCKY NUMBER, then in the early part of the Straight was shifted in to find running and go forward. In the run to the winning post, DR MORE shifted out and near the winning post made contact with V-CAN. LUCKY NUMBER was sent for clinical veterinary examination and routine testing.
