Racing Incident Report

Whilst walking in the Parade Ring, HOLY RANTO broke loose and jumped a gate. After being caught, HOLY RANTO was examined by the Veterinary Surgeon and acting on his advice that the horse was not suitable to race, it was withdrawn by order of the Stewards. Before being allowed to race again, HOLY RANTO will be required to perform satisfactorily in an official barrier trial and it will also be necessary for the Trainer to establish that HOLY RANTO will participate satisfactorily in the pre-race parade. AMERICAN WIN left the gates very awkwardly. FORTUNE SALLIAN jumped somewhat awkwardly with its head up and was further inconvenienced by SUNNY DAY which shifted out. On jumping, LANDLORD stumbled. Just after the start, BOLD VICTORY got its head up, shifted to the outside fence and refused to participate in the race. Before being allowed to race again, BOLD VICTORY will be required to perform satisfactorily in an official barrier trial from an outside draw and around a bend. Approaching and rounding the turn, TRIUMPHANT STAR, which was being obliged to race wide and without any cover, hung out badly, then over the concluding stages dropped out. After the race, it was reported that TRIUMPHANT STAR was bleeding from both nostrils. Rounding the Home Turn, AMITY hung out. About the 200 Metres, PROFIT DAY was steadied and shifted out when disappointed for running between AMITY and SINCERE AND FAITH. TRIUMPHANT STAR was sent for clinical veterinary examination and routine testing.
