Racing Incident Report

GOLD FLASK left the gates awkwardly, shifted ground and bumped the inside of its gate. FIELD'S WINNER was slowly away. About the 800 Metres, SAINT TAK was steadied and shifted out to avoid GOLD FLASK which shifted in. GOLD FLASK made the turn at the 500 Metres awkwardly, got its head up and was checked off the heels of GAGNANT. The occurrence was accidental. About the 500 Metres, EASY WAY commenced to hang out, this caused some inconvenience to FLYING KNIGHT and obliged that horse to race wider. Near the 400 Metres, GAGNANT was unbalanced when awkward just inside the heels of FORTUNE RIVER. About 100 Metres out, TIME WELL, which was giving ground, was steadied when crowded between GRACE AND GLORY and FIELD'S WINNER which shifted out. FLYING KNIGHT was sent for clinical veterinary examination and routine testing. After the race, the Veterinary Surgeon reported that FLYING KNIGHT was lame in its off side front leg. Before being allowed to race again, FLYING KNIGHT will be required to pass an official veterinary examination.
