Racing Incident Report

HOSSEGOR left the gates very awkwardly with its head up and shifted out. SOLO jumped awkwardly and threw its head about. From a difficult gate, TRUST ME was obliged to race wide throughout and proved very difficult to settle. Approaching and rounding the Home Turn, MUNDAHISH had a tendency to lay out. About the 300 Metres, JIMMY THE GREEK shifted out to find running, this caused some inconvenience to MUNDAHISH. Near the 200 Metres, MUNDAHISH was steadied when crowded between TAMAR and JIMMY THE GREEK which was taken out by ETERNAL START. Also near the 200 Metres, TAMAR shifted in and brushed the shoulder of JIMMY THE GREEK. S Dye (INTERVENE) said the horse had been working very well going into today's race and it was anticipated it would run well. It was further expected from a good gate that INTERVENE would get a nice run. S Dye said the horse did enjoy a good run in the race, but in the Straight was continually unbalanced, did not finish the race off as expected and over the concluding stages was very disappointing. TRUST ME was sent for clinical veterinary examination and routine testing.
