Racing Incident Report

Near the 800 Metres, GOLDEN AIR was checked when crowded by DOLLARS AND SENSE which was hanging in badly. Rounding the Home Turn, GOLDEN AIR and SOMLUCK came together. About the 200 Metres, MY CHIEF was steadied and shifted out to go forward. Just after the 200 Metres, DIAMOND AND GOLD was steadied and shifted to the outside of GOLDEN AIR to go forward. Throughout the race, DOLLARS AND SENSE hung in and in the Straight hung in badly. As a consequence of DOLLARS AND SENSE hanging in, some inconvenience was caused to HUNTING LAD at about the 200 Metres. After the race, the Veterinary Surgeon said SPLENDID PATROL was making an abnormal breathing noise. He said he carried out an endoscopic examination and this failed to reveal any abnormality. Subsequent to the race, the Veterinary Surgeon said INDUBITABLY BLISS was making an abnormal breathing noise. He said he carried out an endoscopic examination on the horse which failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
