Racing Incident Report
After being boxed, EASTERN TYCOON became fractious, reared and momentarily had its off side front leg over an adjoining partition. EASTERN TYCOON was released from the gates, examined by the Veterinary Surgeon who said the horse did have a minor abrasion to its near side hind pastern but in his opinion was suitable to race. EASTERN TYCOON was slowly away. SIGHT FIRST, which was restless in the boxes and had its head turned slightly to the off side, when the gates opened missed the start. ACE ACADEMY jumped with its head in the air and as a consequence got well back. In the early stages, ZENON LIGHT, which was being ridden in a rearward position, pulled hard and proved difficult to settle, because of this at about the 800 Metres was awkward on the heels of QUEST FOR LUCK which shifted in to be racing behind MIR. Near the 1000 Metres, CHUNG ON TREASURE was checked when crowded between ZENON LIGHT and QUEST FOR LUCK (E Legrix). The Stewards were unable to attribute the responsibility to any rider and therefore no direct action was taken, however, E Legrix, who shortly after this incident shifted in to a position outside MIR, was advised to exercise care at all times. MONEY made the turn near the 600 Metres awkwardly, shifted out and caused some inconvenience to QUEST FOR LUCK. About 100 Metres out, ACE ACADEMY, which was making some ground, was steadied when disappointed for running between QUEST FOR LUCK and JOYOUS CHEERS, both of which shifted some ground.
