Racing Incident Report
DIAMOND TALENTS was withdrawn on 26.10.01 on veterinary grounds (sore off fore tendon) and replaced by Standby Declared Starter CENTURY HORSE (G Mossé). Before being allowed to race again, DIAMOND TALENTS will be required to pass an official veterinary examination. ROYAL PARTNER bounded in the air at the start. ALL WIN came out awkwardly and threw its head about. Just after the start, EXCEL KID shifted out and bumped ASPIRATION. In the early stages, SCENIC WONDER pulled very hard and proved difficult to settle. After the race, the Veterinary Surgeon reported that ROYAL PARTNER was showing a heart irregularity. As this was the second occasion this season that ROYAL PARTNER had suffered an irregular heart rhythm, the horse will now be compulsorily retired [Stewards' Instruction 1(1)(iii)]. He also reported that ASPIRATION had sustained a laceration to the back of its off side hind cannon.
