Racing Incident Report
IMPRESSIONIST left the gates awkwardly with its head up, just after the start was checked off the heels of DESERT STORM which shifted in abruptly. On jumping, KINDRED SPIRITS got its head up. In the early stages, BULL'S EYE proved difficult to settle, got its head on the side and hung in. Approaching the 200 Metres, KINDRED SPIRITS was steadied and shifted in when disappointed for running between BULL'S EYE and COMMANDER CHARLIE. KINDRED SPIRITS was then momentarily awkward on the heels of WINNING BOY. About 100 Metres out, BULL'S EYE, which was inclined to be laying in, was awkward on the hindquarters of KINDRED SPIRITS. D Whyte (COMMANDER CHARLIE) said in the Straight he was of the view the horse was not stretching out as it should. COMMANDER CHARLIE was sent for clinical veterinary examination and testing. After the race, COMMANDER CHARLIE was examined by the Veterinary Surgeon. He had the horse trotted up and was not able to detect any abnormality.
