Racing Incident Report
DOLBRIDGE, which was not standing well, came from the gates awkwardly. For some distance near the winning post the first time, I WIN was unbalanced when close to the heels of ORIENTAL TREASURE and tight inside DIAMOND AND GOLD. In the Straight, I WIN hung in and proved somewhat difficult to ride out. K S Yu (FRENCH CONNECTION) pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding [Rule 100(1)]. The careless riding being that at about the 1200 Metres he allowed his mount to shift in when not clear of DE INTEGRO. As a consequence of this, DE INTEGRO lost the running to which it was rightfully entitled and was checked. K S Yu was suspended from riding in races for a period to expire on Monday 7 October 2002 on which day he may resume race riding (3 Hong Kong race days). The commencement of the suspension was deferred until after the meeting next Sunday 22 September 2002 at the Sha Tin Racecourse. ELECTRONIC SEEKER was sent for a clinical veterinary examination. After the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that ELECTRONIC SEEKER had bled from both nostrils. ELEPHANT DANCE and ORLANDO FLYER were sent for sampling.
