Racing Incident Report

I DELIVER left the gates awkwardly, threw its head about and shifted out. As a consequence of this, BUENO BUENO was crowded onto THISTLEJADE and checked, then turning out of the Straight the first time was awkward when close to the heels of DANZIG CONTINENTAL. SINCERE AND FAITH bounded in the air at the start. This caused Apprentice M W Leung to be momentarily unbalanced and SINCERE AND FAITH to get back. From a difficult gate, ME FIRST was obliged to cover a lot of ground in the early and middle stages and was not able to find any cover. Near the 1400 Metres, PRINCELY HORSE was steadied when close to the heels of GOLDCHIN BEST. Near the 400 Metres, THISTLEJADE was steadied and shifted to the inside of KONRAD THE GREAT in an endeavour to find running and go forward. About the 300 Metres, INDY'S GEM was steadied and shifted out to find running and go forward. After the 200 Metres, ME AND YOU was steadied and shifted in when disappointed for running between PRINCELY HORSE and SINCERE AND FAITH, then in the run to the winning post was not able to find running. THISTLEJADE was sent for a clinical veterinary examination and sampling. Subsequent to the race, the Veterinary Officer examined THISTLEJADE. No significant abnormalities were detected. INDY'S GEM and GOLDCHIN BEST were sent for sampling.
