Racing Incident Report
The Veterinary Officer advised that GOOD FRIENDS had sustained an injury to its right eye whilst being saddled and was in his opinion not suitable to run. Accordingly GOOD FRIENDS was withdrawn by order of the Stewards. After being boxed, WINNING LAURELS became fractious, reared and dislodged M Cahill. WINNING LAURELS was released from the starting gates, examined by the Veterinary Surgeon and after the necessary consultations he said in his opinion the horse was suitable to race. Before WINNING LAURELS can race again, it will be required to perform satisfactorily in a stalls test. HIGH SKY was slowly away. PRECIOUS SWEETIE, which was standing with its head turned slightly to the left side, left the gates awkwardly, as a consequence of this got back. On the turn near the 1000 Metres, ARRECTIS AURIBUS became unbalanced and got its head up when close to the heels of HIGH SKY and tight inside WINNING LAURELS. ELEPHANT DANCE and HARMONY PARTNER were sent for sampling.
