Racing Incident Report
GREEN FINDER, first Standby Declared Starter, was withdrawn on 29.10.02 on veterinary grounds (right fore tendon injury). Before GREEN FINDER can race again, it has to pass an official veterinary examination. WONDERFUL WIN left the gates awkwardly and threw its head about. LUCK ALWAYS COMES and UNIVERSAL FLAIR were slowly away. Just after the start, LUCKY LUCKY and FORTE bumped. For some distance after this, FORTE raced ungenerously and hung in badly, then in the Straight continued to hang in and proved difficult to ride out. Rounding the turn and in the Straight, ABLE EAGLE raced greenly and shifted ground. When being ridden out in the Straight, CHAMPION WINNER raced greenly and shifted ground. JUST WIN was sent for a clinical veterinary examination and sampling. After the race, it was reported that JUST WIN was bleeding from both nostrils. CHAMPION WINNER, SPEEDY EXPRESS and WONDERFUL WIN were sent for sampling.
