Racing Incident Report
KEEN FLYER was a little slow to begin and shortly afterwards was bumped by NOBLE HERO. ENGINEERING WONDER and FORTUNE TONE were slightly slow to begin. Near the 600 Metres, NOBLE HERO was pulling and proving very difficult to settle and then when awkwardly placed close to the heels of WONDERFUL WIN and HONOURABLE shifted out. This caused crowding on its outside to POT BLACK and ETERNAL START, resulting in POT BLACK being severely checked. MAESTRO, which was following, was severely checked in consequence. In the circumstances, no action was taken. At the 600 Metres, KEEN FLYER shifted out and steadied away from the heels of WONDERFUL WIN. Shortly after this, KEEN FLYER again shifted out, clipped the heels of WONDERFUL WIN and blundered. NOBLE HERO made the Home Turn awkwardly and shifted out. This resulted in ETERNAL START and FORTUNE TONE being carried out wider. Making the Home Turn, AMITY hung out. Over the concluding stages, WONDERFUL WIN, which had AMITY racing to its inside, was inclined to be shifting in. Because of this, R Fradd did not ride WONDERFUL WIN out as he normally would. KEEN FLYER was sent for a clinical veterinary examination and sampling. After the race, KEEN FLYER was examined by the Veterinary Officer. No abnormalities were detected. WONDERFUL WIN and ENGINEERING WONDER were sent for sampling.
