Racing Incident Report
On entering the track, J Spencer was dislodged from HYDROGEN POWER. The horse travelled only a short distance and was caught. J Spencer remounted, but was again dislodged. To avoid an unreasonable delay, HYDROGEN POWER was withdrawn by order of the Stewards. Before HYDROGEN POWER can race again, it will have to perform satisfactorily in an official barrier trial and must satisfy the Stewards that it can participate satisfactorily in the pre-race parade. BAYVIEW LAD left the gates awkwardly. For a short distance rounding the Home Turn, KING'S PATROL was tight between WINNING FIESTA which was hanging in and AGGRESSIVE KING which was endeavouring to shift out. Just on straightening, WINNING FIESTA, which had been racing greenly throughout, hung in badly across the heels of AGGRESSIVE KING and bumped KING'S PATROL. The occurrence was accidental. Also just on straightening, SILLY BOY and STRATEGUS bumped due mainly to STRATEGUS shifting out. Then in the Straight, STRATEGUS was inclined to get its head on the side and lay out. In the run to the winning post, NICE AND EASY hung out. JOLLY GAINS and STRATEGUS were sent for sampling.
