Racing Incident Report
WINNING STREAK was withdrawn on 14.3.03 on veterinary grounds (lame left fore) and was replaced by Standby Declared Starter KEEN FLYER (D Whyte). Before being allowed to race again, WINNING STREAK will be required to pass an official veterinary examination. INDIAN FIRE POWER got its head up at the start. DANZIGFIRE began awkwardly. AURELIAN and SALUT BEAUTE were slow to begin. Throughout the race, MAJOR BEE lay out. The performance of HELLO FUJI, which tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before the horse can race again, it will be required to perform competitively in an official barrier trial and will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. Despite EVEN TILDEN having won by a margin of three quarters of a length, S Dye was advised against the practice of easing up on his mount prior to the line. PERFECT SPORT was sent for a clinical veterinary examination. After the race, PERFECT SPORT was examined by the Veterinary Officer. No significant findings were made. EVEN TILDEN and MAJOR BEE were sent for sampling.
