Racing Incident Report
ENGINEERING WONDER began very awkwardly and lost a considerable amount of ground. IN THE MONEY bounded in the air at the start and then was bumped by FIRST KNIGHT which shifted out. In the early stages, IN THE MONEY proved difficult to settle. GLORIOUS RHYTHM was a little slow to begin and then was obliged to race wide and without cover for the majority of the race. From the outside barrier, ELITE WIN was immediately steadied and taken in across behind runners to a position on the rail but at the rear. On straightening, ELITE WIN was carried wider by KING OF SPADES which shifted out to improve. Near the 300 Metres, FIRST KNIGHT was steadied when disappointed for running between GLORIOUS RHYTHM and KING OF SPADES. Also near the 300 Metres, GLORIOUS RHYTHM and KING OF SPADES were momentarily crowded for room between IN THE MONEY which shifted out and ELITE WIN which shifted in. GLORIOUS RHYTHM, THE GREATEST and FANTASTIC HORSE were sent for sampling. After the race, GLORIOUS RHYTHM was examined by the Veterinary Officer. He said the horse was distressed.
