Racing Incident Report

Shortly after the start, JOINT PEACE and KINGSTON GLORY were crowded for room between ALBELA and MAGNIFICENT which was taken in slightly by BORN TO WIN. As a result of this crowding, KINGSTON GLORY was steadied and then tailed out. The performance of KINGSTON GLORY was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, KINGSTON GLORY will be required to perform competitively in an official barrier trial and will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. Near the 1100 Metres, BORN TO WIN was steadied when crowded for room between MAGNIFICENT and UTMOST EASY which initially shifted in on its own accord and then was taken in further by SILLY BOY which itself was taken in slightly by SOUTHERN LIGHT. In the circumstances, no action was taken. After the 600 Metres, WATCH KING was steadied when racing tight inside JOINT PEACE. On straightening, GREEN VACATION, which was endeavouring to shift to the outside of FORTUNE LAD to obtain clear running, was inconvenienced as FORTUNE LAD shifted out. As a result of this, GREEN VACATION shifted out and bumped SCREAMING EAGLE which was hampered and carried wider. After the 400 Metres, JOINT PEACE was severely checked away from the heels of SOUTHERN LIGHT which was giving ground when unable to obtain a clear run between that horse and FORTUNE LAD. After the 300 Metres, JOINT PEACE was again steadied away from the heels of SOUTHERN LIGHT which continued to give ground. LASER GLORY, GREEN VACATION and MAGNIFICENT were sent for sampling.
