Racing Incident Report

When being saddled, it was noted EVER MORE had a skin allergy over its hindquarters. The horse was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said in his opinion it was suitable to race. After being boxed, DRAGON HORSE became fractious and attempted to break out underneath the front gates of its stall. DRAGON HORSE was removed from its stall and examined by the Veterinary Surgeon who said in his opinion it was not suitable to race. Acting on this advice, the Stewards ordered the withdrawal of DRAGON HORSE. Before being allowed to race again, DRAGON HORSE will have to perform satisfactorily in a stalls test. GOLD SANDFIELD was a little slow to begin and shortly afterwards was crowded between GLOBE MARK and EVER MORE, both of which shifted ground. As a result of this incident, all three horses became unbalanced. MANIFEST and CENDAMY were slow to begin. Shortly after the start, ABORIGINAL and CENDAMY were crowded for room between FORTE which had its head on the side and shifted in and ALWAYS FLYING which shifted out. Over the concluding stages, LIGHTNING BOLT hung out and TRIUMPHANT UNICORN hung in. Throughout the race, FORTE hung in and proved difficult to ride. ARABIAN WAGER was sent for a clinical veterinary examination. After the race, ARABIAN WAGER was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said there were no significant findings. ALWAYS FLYING and TRIUMPHANT UNICORN were sent for sampling.
