Racing Incident Report

On jumping, RIGHT DECISION stumbled and lost ground and then shortly afterwards was checked when crowded for room between LEGIONNAIRE and STAR OF NORTHERN which was carried in by SUPREMACY which shifted ground after being bumped by DOUCAI. Also on jumping, EVEREST was slow to muster speed. WYNDHAM PROFIT began awkwardly and bumped the outside gate of its stall. HONOURABLE began awkwardly. Near the 1000 Metres, SUPREMACY was momentarily steadied to avoid the heels of DOUCAI which at this time was carried in slightly by SUPERSONIC. Also near the 1000 Metres, HONOURABLE broke down and was eased out of the race. In the middle stages, CLANG'S PRIDE was inclined to lay out. Over about the final 600 Metres, SOUTH CHINA NINETY hung out and particularly making the Home Turn. Y T Cheng (LEGIONNAIRE) said he rode along in the early stages in an endeavour to obtain a forward position, near the 800 Metres was crossed by SUPREMACY and from this point did not travel well. He said at the 600 Metres he rode LEGIONNAIRE along in an attempt to improve his position, however, the horse did not respond, commenced to hang out and then was carried wider by SOUTH CHINA NINETY which shifted out on its inside. He said LEGIONNAIRE continued to hang out until after straightening and then kept on only one-paced. LEGIONNAIRE was sent for an official veterinary inspection and sampling. A veterinary inspection of LEGIONNAIRE after the race did not show any significant findings. DOUCAI and SOUTH CHINA NINETY were sent for sampling.
