Racing Incident Report
On jumping, JUBILOSO and GREAT STAR bumped and also ISLAND SPIRIT and JUSTINIAN bumped. At the winning post on the first occasion, RAINBOW DIAMOND was crowded for room inside JUBILOSO which got its head on the side and hung in. JUBILOSO continued to hang in for the remainder of the race. Near the 900 Metres, ISLAND SPIRIT was steadied when momentarily crowded for room inside BRAVE COMMANDER. Near the 400 Metres, RAINBOW DIAMOND, which was held up for running, was steadied away from the heels of GREAT STAR and shifted out. Making the Home Turn, DRAGON STRIDE was carried wider by RAINBOW DIAMOND which continued to shift out to obtain clear running. Passing the 200 Metres, STEPS AHEAD, which was giving ground, was steadied when crowded for room between SWEETIE which was improving on its inside and SHINING DRAGON which at this time got its head on the side and shifted in when giving ground. Shortly after this, as SHINING DRAGON was being shifted out to relieve the pressure on its inside, it itself was checked to avoid the heels of GREAT STAR which when shifting to a tight run on the inside of BRAVE COMMANDER was carried in by that horse which shifted ground when giving ground. GLORIOUS RHYTHM, which was following, was steadied and shifted out into clear running. In all the circumstances, no action was taken. Over the concluding stages when continuing to hang in, JUBILOSO shifted ground and was steadied away from the heels of LA MERVEILLE. Because of this, JUBILOSO was not ridden out to the end of the race as it normally would be. Also over the concluding stages, DRAGON STRIDE hung in. In the Straight, LA MERVEILLE hung in. ISLAND SPIRIT and RAINBOW DIAMOND were sent for sampling.
