Racing Incident Report

SHERIFF BAMBOO and SUPREMACY began awkwardly. KIMBO KID was slow to begin. On jumping, SHOGUN stumbled. Approaching the turn at the 700 Metres, HAPPY ELITE was unable to maintain its position inside FAT CHOY FOREVER. Near the 600 Metres, SUPREMACY was steadied when awkwardly placed inside the heels of KIMBO KID. In the middle stages, FORTE hung out. For some distance after the 300 Metres, KIMBO KID, which was giving ground, raced tight inside SUPREMACY. Then after the 200 Metres, KIMBO KID was steadied when crowded for room inside SUPREMACY which at this time was endeavouring to improve towards the inside of JOLLY GOOD FORTUNE. No action was taken. When questioned, D Whyte (SHOGUN) was unable to offer any explanation for the poor performance of the horse. He said SHOGUN travelled comfortably throughout the race, but did not respond to his riding in the Straight. HAPPY ELITE, FAT CHOY FOREVER and JOLLY GOOD FORTUNE were sent for sampling.
