Racing Incident Report
GREENESSY, TIME SUPREME and CONNOISSEUR'S LOVE were slow to begin. On jumping, PILLOW KING was bumped by GOLD STRIKER which shifted out. In the early stages, PILLOW KING proved difficult to settle. Near the 1400 Metres, Y T Cheng (CONNOISSEUR'S LOVE) reached down with his left hand and adjusted his foot in the stirrup. In the early and middle stages, MY LANSON proved difficult to settle. TACTIC KING made the turn near the 800 Metres awkwardly and was steadied away from the heels of ELECTRONICS SPUR. After this, TACTIC KING hung out. Also making the turn at the 800 Metres, MY LANSON got its head up and was checked away from the heels of PILLOW KING. At the 400 Metres, GREENESSY and ELECTRONICS SPUR bumped due mainly to GREENESSY shifting in. For some distance after the 400 Metres, SEASONS TREASURE was held up and unable to improve when racing behind ELECTRONICS SPUR. From the 400 Metres to after the 200 Metres, CONNOISSEUR'S LOVE was awkwardly placed behind KIDDYLAND which was giving ground. After the 200 Metres, MY LANSON was momentarily steadied away from the heels of ELECTRONICS SPUR which shifted out. Throughout the race, THUNDER MAN travelled wide and without cover. Apprentice C W Wong (KIDDYLAND) said he had been instructed to ensure he did his utmost to have the horse begin cleanly and then let it travel where it was comfortable which was anticipated to be a position with cover. He said KIDDYLAND today began well, he allowed it to stride forward without riding along and was able to cross to the fence to lead. He said once reaching the lead he then endeavoured to steady the tempo. MEMBERS GLORY was sent for an official veterinary inspection. After the race, MEMBERS GLORY was examined by the Veterinary Officer. He said an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of mucopus in the horse's trachea. Before being allowed to race again, MEMBERS GLORY will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. TIME SUPREME, MASTERY and GREENESSY were sent for sampling.
