Racing Incident Report

DANEPRINT was a little slow to begin and then lost further ground when bumped by PERFECT SCORE which began awkwardly and shifted in abruptly. RIGHT FRAAR was slow to begin. At the 800 Metres, BALL OF FIRE was steadied when close to the heels of MYTHIC STEED. After the 400 Metres, LUCKY ENCOUNTER was steadied and shifted out when disappointed for running inside COSMO STAR. On straightening, PERFECT SCORE and MYTHIC STEED bumped. Over the concluding stages, GOOD TRIO hung in. C Brown (PERFECT SCORE) explained the intention had been to ride the horse in a forward position, however, because of the anticipated pace of the race it was uncertain whether PERFECT SCORE would be able to lead. He said after beginning awkwardly and shifting in abruptly, he was obliged to straighten his mount and as a consequence runners to both his inside and outside went forward. He said because of this PERFECT SCORE travelled further back than was anticipated. He said when travelling back in the field PERFECT SCORE raced ungenerously. MYTHIC STEED and RIGHT FRAAR were sent for sampling. After the race, the Veterinary Officer reported BRAVE COMMANDER was making an abnormal breathing noise and MYTHIC STEED had lost its left hind plate.
