Racing Incident Report

GREAT IDEA began awkwardly, then shortly afterwards was checked when crowded for room between ALWAYS HAPPY and FUNTRAP which shifted out. FASTER FASTER bounded in the air at the start and lost ground. When the gates opened, GOLD MASTER bounded in the air and on landing became unbalanced, as a consequence lost ground. In the early stages, ALWAYS HAPPY hung in. After the 200 Metres, GOLD MASTER was bumped by PACKING WINNER which when making ground was steadied away from the heels of NEW TRIUMPH. Approaching and passing the 100 Metres, GOLD MASTER and PACKING WINNER were held up and unable to improve. Near the 50 Metres, GOLD MASTER and FASTER FASTER which was giving ground bumped. Over the concluding stages, FORTE hung in. B Prebble (CARRY GOOD NEWS) explained his mount began satisfactorily, however, then due to it not showing natural speed lost ground because of the pace. He said CARRY GOOD NEWS raced in a manner which indicated it would be better suited over a distance further than the 1000 Metres of today. LUCKY BABY and ALWAYS GIGGLE were sent for sampling. After the race, it was reported FORTE had lost its left front plate, FASTER FASTER had lost both its front plates and GOLD MASTER had lost its left front plate.
