Racing Incident Report

When the gates opened, SUNNY SING bounded in the air and lost ground. CHEEKY was slow to begin. On jumping, GOOD PROFIT was hampered by ALL'S WELL which shifted out. Also on jumping, LOTZATOW was checked when crowded for room between ORIENTAL MAGIC and WEALTHY TREASURE which after blundering shifted in. Near the 1000 Metres, CHEEKY was steadied away from the heels of FRUITY FRUITY which shifted in After the 1000 Metres, SATURN got its head up when proving difficult to settle. At the 700 Metres, GOOD PROFIT, which was racing tight inside SATURN, bumped the running rail and became unbalanced. FRUITY FRUITY, which was following, was steadied in consequence. Near the 600 Metres, SUNNY SING became unbalanced after being contacted by ORIENTAL MAGIC which at this time shifted out slightly. Approaching and passing the 300 Metres, ALL'S WELL had some difficulty obtaining clear running between WEALTHY TREASURE and RUM SHOT. GOOD PROFIT, which was racing to the inside of ALL'S WELL, was steadied at the 300 Metres when unable to improve between that horse and RUM SHOT. At the 200 Metres, SATURN, which was giving ground, was checked when crowded for room between HAPPEE OWNER (F Coetzee) which shifted in and FRUITY FRUITY which when improving on the outside of WEALTHY TREASURE was carried out by that horse. In the circumstances, F Coetzee was severely reprimanded and told to exercise greater care. ARMADA and ALL'S WELL were sent for sampling.
