Racing Incident Report

CARE FREE PRINCE began awkwardly and was then taken across behind runners. After the 1100 Metres, OWNERS LAD was steadied to avoid the heels of VINTAGE GOLD (Apprentice P H Lo) which shifted in when not properly clear. Near the 900 Metres, OWNERS LAD was again steadied to avoid the heels of VINTAGE GOLD which shifted in further when not properly clear. Apprentice Lo was severely reprimanded and told in similar circumstances he was to ensure he was clear of other runners. Approaching the turn at the 800 Metres, OWNERS LAD was checked to avoid the heels of VINTAGE GOLD which at this time steadied to allow EGYPTIAN RA to cross to the lead. GOLDEN BALL and CARE FREE PRINCE, which were following, were checked in consequence. Approaching the 700 Metres, GOLDEN BALL became unbalanced. In the middle stages, LAZY BUDDIES travelled wide and without cover and in the Straight gave ground. Shortly after straightening, SUPER SNIPPETS, which was held up and unable to improve, was steadied and shifted to the outside of QUEST FOR LOVE. Also shortly after straightening, the saddle of VINTAGE GOLD shifted backwards. For the majority of the race, LUMINOUS travelled wide and without cover. EGYPTIAN RA and SUPER SNIPPETS were sent for sampling.
