Racing Incident Report
As the start was effected, GLORIOUS RHYTHM became fractious, causing Apprentice P H Lo, its rider, to become unbalanced and almost be dislodged. As a consequence, GLORIOUS RHYTHM lost a considerable amount of ground. On jumping, PERSEVERANCE and SURE HERO bumped. WATCHMAN began awkwardly. Passing the winning post on the first occasion, SOLAR was steadied when awkwardly placed inside the heels of WATCHMAN. Despite being ridden along in the early stages, PERSEVERANCE failed to muster sufficient speed to cross runners to its inside and as a result travelled wide and without cover throughout. After the 600 Metres, KEY WINNER was steadied when crowded for room between COME HO CHOI and GLORIOUS RHYTHM which shifted in slightly. For some distance after the 400 Metres, COME HO CHOI, which was endeavouring to shift out, raced tight inside GLORIOUS RHYTHM. PERSEVERANCE was sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of PERSEVERANCE after the race did not show any significant findings. SPEEDING MOLLY, SUDDEN SPLENDOR and SOLAR were sent for sampling.
