Racing Incident Report

MAGI JOY was withdrawn on 18.5.07 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame right fore foot) and was replaced by Standby Declared Starter FERRO BEAU (G Mossé). Before being allowed to race again, MAGI JOY will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. FLORAL NIRVANA and FERRO BEAU were slow to begin. Near the 1000 Metres, CITY SURFER blundered when close to the heels of THUNDER DANCING. Prior to straightening, REAL SURPRISE was steadied away from the heels of LIFELINE RAPIDE. In the Straight, CIRCUIT HERO hung in and approaching the 200 Metres was then carried wider by FERRO BEAU which shifted out. At the 150 Metres, LASER TIGER was steadied away from the heels of OPERATION SECRET which at this time shifted out. B Prebble (LASER TIGER) explained after the 800 Metres his mount was travelling only fairly in the wet ground and commenced to hang out. He said because of this he was not travelling well enough to prevent THUNDER DANCING shifting out from his inside. B Prebble was warned regarding his conduct in the Stewards' Room when being questioned in relation to this matter. OPERATION SECRET and THUNDER DANCING were sent for sampling. After the race, the Veterinary Officer reported HAPPY MASTER had bled from both nostrils.
