Racing Incident Report

CENTURY MOLLY and FEEL-SO-GOOD were slow to begin. On jumping, REGENCY KINGDOM, which had been fractious in its stall, was taken back from the outside barrier. In the early and middle stages, SOU MA TAM was caught wide without cover and was then ridden along to clear runners and shift closer to the rail. HAPPEE GIFT made the turn near the 1000 Metres awkwardly and shifted wider. Shortly after entering the Back Straight, CENTURY MOLLY became unbalanced when shifted in abruptly. After the 400 Metres, FOREVER SUPPORT became unbalanced when awkwardly placed between FEEL-SO-GOOD and MAGI JOY. Prior to the 400 Metres, INVESTAR was steadied after being disappointed for running when endeavouring to improve between HAPPEE GIFT and SOU MA TAM. BEAUTY PLUS, which was following, was steadied in consequence. From shortly after straightening until after the 200 Metres, INVESTAR had difficulty obtaining clear running, then near the 50 Metres was struck on the nose by the whip of O Doleuze (SOU MA TAM). Over about the final 150 Metres, REGENCY KINGDOM, which was closing the race off strongly, was unable to obtain clear running and therefore was not tested. Over about the final 100 Metres, FOREVER SUPPORT was not able to obtain clear running and because of this was not ridden out to the end of the race. Over about the final 50 Metres, FEEL-SO-GOOD was not able to obtain clear running and therefore was not ridden out to the end of the race as it normally would be. M W Leung (EXQUISITE YIELD) reported his mount, which was having its first start at Happy Valley tonight, became fractious after being boxed, began awkwardly, got its head up and as a consequence failed to muster speed in the early stages. BEAUTY PLUS was sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of BEAUTY PLUS after the race did not show any significant findings. REGENCY KINGDOM, K-JACK and MARVELLOUS were sent for sampling.
