Racing Incident Report
Shortly after the start, TELECOM LUCKY STAR and MAGIC PRACTITIONER bumped and lost their positions when crowded for room between PRIVATE ROAD which shifted in and MY MEMORY which shifted out after being bumped on its hindquarters by TELECOM LUCKY STAR. In the early and middle stages, SOLAR UP, which was proving difficult to settle, raced ungenerously and got its head up. At the 700 Metres, GREAT UNITY got its head up when being steadied away from the heels of TELECOM LUCKY STAR which was steadied away from the heels of FAIR NAVIGATOR which itself was momentarily steadied while awkwardly placed inside the heels of DREAM HORSE. Throughout the race, PRIVATE ROAD travelled wide and without cover. O Doleuze (FAIR NAVIGATOR), which performed poorly, reported his mount appeared awkward in its action throughout the race, when placed under pressure in the Straight did not respond to his riding and in his opinion the horse's action deteriorated. He said because of this he did not persevere in riding his mount out to the end of the race. FAIR NAVIGATOR was sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of FAIR NAVIGATOR after the race did not show any significant findings. Before being allowed to race again, FAIR NAVIGATOR will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. FORTUNE KING was sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of FORTUNE KING after the race did not show any significant findings. DREAM HORSE and MY MEMORY were sent for sampling. After the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that MY MEMORY was noted to be intermittently locking the right hind stifle. Before being allowed to race again, MY MEMORY will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in an official barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. Also after the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that SOLAR UP had sustained a wound to its right front cannon.
