Racing Incident Report

NUGGET WARRIOR was slow to begin. Approaching the 800 Metres, BESPOKE MASTER was taken wider after being bumped by NUGGET WARRIOR which shifted out. After the 800 Metres, TIME AFTER TIME was steadied to allow BEST FIT to cross. WINE WIN, which was following, was steadied away from the heels of TIME AFTER TIME. SUPREME FAY FAY, which was following WINE WIN, was checked away from the heels of that horse after the 800 Metres. For some distance after this, SUPREME FAY FAY got its head up when awkwardly placed close to the heels of WINE WIN and near the 650 Metres shifted out after being checked away from the heels of WINE WIN which itself was checked away from the heels of TIME AFTER TIME. NOBLE DE BEST, which was following SUPREME FAY FAY, was checked away from the heels of that horse in consequence and TRUE VALOUR, which was also following, was inconvenienced. After this, SUPREME FAY FAY improved into a position between WINE WIN and DOUBLE LUCK where there was not full running, resulting in G Cheyne, the rider of SUPREME FAY FAY, checking his mount when unable to establish the run between WINE WIN and DOUBLE LUCK which was racing inside the heels of BESPOKE MASTER. NOBLE DE BEST, which was following, was again checked away from the heels of SUPREME FAY FAY in consequence. As the Stewards were of the view that no rider error was involved in this incident, no action was taken. Near the 100 Metres, IRON HAWK, which was closing off the race, was steadied when unable to continue improving when held up behind BESPOKE MASTER and inside TRUE VALOUR. For the majority of the race, MR VIGOROUS travelled wide and without cover. A veterinary inspection of NUGGET WARRIOR after the race revealed that the horse had bled from both nostrils. A veterinary inspection of SUPREME FAY FAY after the race did not show any significant findings. TIME AFTER TIME, BEST FIT and HORSE GALORE were sent for sampling.
