Racing Incident Report

ENDLESS LUCK and KING AL AKBAR bumped at the start. After this, ENDLESS LUCK was hampered when crowded for room inside KING AL AKBAR which shifted in slightly. ST DIDAR began awkwardly. In the early stages, PENGLAI XIANZI failed to muster speed and throughout the race travelled wide and without cover and in the Straight gave ground and finished tailed out. The performance of PENGLAI XIANZI was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, PENGLAI XIANZI will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in an official barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. Making the first turn, FORTUNE RED PEPPER got its head up when awkwardly placed close to the heels of PENGLAI XIANZI. Passing the 600 Metres, FORTUNE RED PEPPER was awkwardly placed inside the heels of MIGHTY SUN. Also passing the 600 Metres, OLE OLE was severely checked when crowded for room inside MR BOND which despite the efforts of its rider, H W Lai, got its head on the side and shifted in away from runners to its outside. H W Lai was told to ensure that he does his best to leave sufficient racing room for runners to his inside in similar circumstances. A veterinary inspection of MIGHTY SUN and FORTUNE RED PEPPER after the race did not show any significant findings. A veterinary inspection of PENGLAI XIANZI after the race did not show any significant findings, however, the horse was unable to be scoped. ENDLESS LUCK, JUST FANTASTIC and STRAIGHT FORWARD were sent for sampling.
