Racing Incident Report

SUPER TIGER was crowded for room at the start between IMPERIAL ROME and JACKTHELAD, both of which shifted ground. Shortly after the start, MASTER RIO was steadied when crowded for room between MAKE IT and GLENEALY STAR which shifted in slightly. From the outside barriers, PERFECT GEAR and FRIENDS OF YAN OI were taken across behind runners shortly after the start. Passing the 600 Metres, IMPERIAL ROME and FIRST IN COMMAND bumped. Shortly after entering the Straight, IMPERIAL ROME was steadied when disappointed for running between JACKTHELAD which was giving ground and MASTER RIO which shifted out. Passing the 200 Metres, MASTER RIO was struck across the nose by the whip of Apprentice K C Ng (GLENEALY STAR). Throughout the race, JACKTHELAD travelled wide and without cover. After the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that MASTER RIO had lost its right hind plate. BOULD MOVER and RED LUCKY STAR were sent for sampling.
