Racing Incident Report

Whilst in the saddling stalls, EMPEROR BLITZ had its left front plate refitted. EMPEROR BLITZ was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said in his opinion it was suitable to race.
MASTER GUNNER began very awkwardly and lost a considerable amount of ground. Before being allowed to race again, MASTER GUNNER will be required to perform satisfactorily in a stalls test.
BUDDY BUDDIES and SUPREME WINNER were slow to begin.
Near the 1200 Metres, SHAHJEE raced tight between HELENE FUN STAR and GREAT STORIES which was taken in by GREEN EAGLE (W C Marwing) which shifted in when not properly clear. W C Marwing was reprimanded and advised to ensure that he is sufficiently clear when shifting ground in future.
After the 1000 Metres, GREAT STORIES was left racing wide and without cover and in the Straight gave ground.
Also after 1000 Metres, OTTIMO got its head up when awkwardly placed close to the heels of CALLING WITH LOVE.
Making the first turn, MASTER GUNNER proved difficult to settle and got its head up on a number of occasions when awkwardly placed close to the heels of THE ONLY KID.
At the entrance to the Straight, SHAHJEE momentarily raced tight between GREAT STORIES and GREEN EAGLE which shifted out. After this, SHAHJEE was unable to obtain clear running until near the 300 Metres.
A veterinary inspection of GREAT STORIES after the race did not show any significant findings, however, an endoscopic examination was unable to be conducted on the horse.

HELENE FUN STAR, GREEN EAGLE and SUNNY FAY were sent for sampling.
