Racing Incident Report
JACKPOT MASCOT shifted in at the start and bumped FLYING KEEPER.
TELECOM TOP STAR and NO TIES were taken across behind runners shortly after the start.
FRIENDS OF YAN OI was steadied when crowded for room shortly after the start between PILLOWIN and DRAGON CHOICE which, after initially being bumped by YOUNG SUPREME, then shifted out of its own accord.
Making the turn near the 1000 Metres, FLYING KEEPER raced tight inside FRIENDS OF YAN OI which was awkwardly placed inside the heels of DRAGON CHOICE. After this, FRIENDS OF YAN OI continued to be awkwardly placed inside the heels of DRAGON CHOICE for some distance.
Near the 500 Metres, SPICY SHRIMP was awkwardly placed close to the heels of YONG SUPREME.
Passing the 250 Metres, FLYING KEEPER, which was badly held up for clear running behind ENJOY THE FUN which was commencing to give ground, raced in restricted room between DRAGON CHOICE which shifted in after being bumped on the hindquarters by FLYING KEEPER and SPICY SHRIMP which was taken out slightly by TELECOM TOP STAR. For some distance after this, FLYING KEEPER continued to race tight inside DRAGON CHOICE which shifted in away from the heels of PILLOWIN which at this time was directed in when awkwardly placed close to the heels of FRIENDS OF YAN OI which got its head on the side and shifted in. Because of this, FLYING KEEPER was not able to obtain clear running until passing the 100 Metres.
After the 200 Metres, NO TIES got its head on the side, hung in and proved difficult to ride.
At the 100 Metres, ENJOY THE FUN, which was giving ground, was steadied away from the heels of PILLOWIN which shifted in.
A veterinary inspection of FLYING KEEPER immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
SPICY SHRIMP, TELECOM TOP STAR and FRIENDS OF YAN OI were sent for sampling.
<24/10/2013 Additional Veterinary Report>The Clinical Veterinary Surgeon reported that FRIENDS OF YAN OI had a substantial amount of mucus on scoping after the race.
