Racing Incident Report
The Stewards deferred the declaration of weighed-in whilst they considered if GO BANANAS had been afforded a fair start. After viewing the videos, it was ascertained that simultaneous with the start being effected, GO BANANAS became fractious and reared, resulting in the horse losing a substantial amount of ground. As the Stewards were of the opinion that GO BANANAS had been afforded a fair start, that horse was deemed to be a runner. Before being allowed to race again, GO BANANAS will be required to perform satisfactorily in an official barrier trial.
SECRET IDENTITY began awkwardly.
Making the turn after the 900 Metres, GOOD GOOD VIEW was steadied away from the heels of JOLLY POSH which was checked after getting its head on the side and laying out across the heels of SECRET IDENTITY.
Approaching the 800 Metres, SECRET IDENTITY was left racing wide and without cover.
Approaching the 700 Metres, GRAND HARBOUR, which was proving difficult to settle, was checked away from the heels of KIDS AND WIN. JOLLY POSH, which was following and travelling keenly, was hampered in consequence.
Passing the 500 Metres, OUR MARCUS was awkwardly placed close to the heels of MR AWARD. GLAMOROUS RYDER, which was following, was inconvenienced in consequence.
Near the 350 Metres, GRAND HARBOUR was momentarily held up when waiting for clear running between KIDS AND WIN and SECRET IDENTITY.
OUR MARCUS was unable to obtain clear running until near the 250 Metres.
MR AWARD was taken back through the field when badly held up for clear running behind the tiring KIM GLORY and KIDS AND WIN until near the 100 Metres. Because of this, MR AWARD was not able to be properly tested.
Over the concluding stages, SECRET IDENTITY got its head on the side and lay out under pressure.
CIRCUIT FORTUNE and GOOD GOOD VIEW were sent for sampling.
