Racing Incident Report

BE THERE AHEAD began awkwardly, shifted out and bumped the hindquarters of ALL FRIENDS which became unbalanced.
SHARP HUNTER, which was leaning on the outside of its stall, began awkwardly, shifted out and bumped JOYFUL THE GREAT shortly after the start.
From the outside barriers, SILLY BUDDIES and LONDON WALK were taken across behind runners shortly after the start.
Making the first turn near the 1000 Metres, SHARP HUNTER got its head up on a number of occasions. After this, SHARP HUNTER was left racing wide and without cover and then after the 600 Metres was taken wider still by LUCKY DAY which shifted out.
Near the 250 Metres, BE THERE AHEAD shifted out and bumped SILLY BUDDIES.
Over the concluding stages, LONDON WALK raced in restricted room inside MASTER KOCHANWONG which was unable to be ridden out all the way to the end of the race when awkwardly placed close to the heels of HEARTS KEEPER which shifted in slightly.
When questioned, B Prebble stated that after having to be ridden along to obtain the lead, JOYFUL THE GREAT would not settle and raced too keenly. He said because of the manner in which JOYFUL THE GREAT travelled throughout the race, the horse quickly came under pressure in the early part of the Straight and then did not finish off the race. A veterinary inspection of JOYFUL THE GREAT immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
A veterinary inspection of SHARP HUNTER immediately following the race did not show any significant findings, however, the horse was unable to be scoped due to being fractious.
MASTER KOCHANWONG, WITHINMYHEART and MY NAME IS BOND were sent for sampling.
