Racing Incident Report

After being loaded into the barriers, MIRACULOUS HONOUR reared and got its left front leg over the barrier partition. MIRACULOUS HONOUR was removed from the barriers and examined by the Veterinary Officer who said that in his opinion it was not suitable to race. Acting on this advice, MIRACULOUS HONOUR was withdrawn by order of the Stewards. Before being allowed to race again, MIRACULOUS HONOUR will be required to perform satisfactorily in a series of consecutive barrier trials and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
COMMANDING MISSILE jumped awkwardly and made contact with the left side of its barrier.
DIAMOND WINNER shifted in at the start, crowding HAPPY FOR ALL in onto STORM LEGEND.
Shortly after the start, SPANGLE FORTUNE shifted in and away from CRYSTAL POWERFUL, resulting in PUBLICIST being briefly tightened.
From the outside barriers, FLYING SWORD and LUCKY ETERNITY were shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
When the pace steadied approaching the 1200 Metres, DEVIL AND GOLD commenced to race keenly and was restrained from the heels of JOY COMING. HAPPY FOR ALL, which was following, was checked to avoid DEVIL AND GOLD, shifted out and bumped DIAMOND WINNER.
Due to the slow pace near the 700 Metres, SPANGLE FORTUNE was shifted to the outside of CRYSTAL POWERFUL and as a result got its head up when being restrained by its rider, M F Poon. In this incident, COMMANDING MISSILE was taken wider,. A short distance later, RED HARE KING shifted out which resulted in ROUND THE GLOBE and PUBLICIST being taken wider. PUBLICIST then raced wide and without cover thereafter.
Near the 500 Metres, RED HARE KING shifted out and made contact with PUBLICIST, resulting in RED HARE KING and PUBLICIST becoming unbalanced.
After the race, K Teetan (ROUND THE GLOBE) reported that his mount was obliged to travel wide in the event, raced greenly and ran on only fairly when placed under pressure in the Straight.
Also after the race, S De Sousa (COMMANDING MISSILE) reported that his mount hung in under pressure in the Straight.
A veterinary inspection of DIAMOND WINNER immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
RED HARE KING and COMMANDING MISSILE were sent for sampling.
