Racing Incident Report
LIKE THAT was withdrawn on 8.7.23 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame left fore) and was replaced by Standby Declared Starter PINS PRINCE (H Bowman). GO HERO was withdrawn on raceday morning by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (wound to left hind). Before being allowed to race again, LIKE THAT and GO HERO will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
NOBLE PURSUIT and CLASSIC MOON were badly crowded at the start between MAGIC SUPREME and SEE U AGAIN, which after being bumped by PINS PRINCE which shifted out, then shifted out and away from that runner.
From the outside barriers, GOOD VIEW GLORY and EASY SNIP were shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Near the 100 Metres, ROUND THE GLOBE was eased when momentarily crowded between SEE U AGAIN and PINS PRINCE which shifted out slightly.
After the race, K C Leung (REGENT GLORY) could offer no explanation for his mount’s disappointing performance after giving ground in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection of REGENT GLORY immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Also after the race, C Y Ho (NOBLE PURSUIT), which was having its first race start, said that, in his opinion, NOBLE PURSUIT would benefit from a step-up in distance for its next race start. A veterinary inspection of NOBLE PURSUIT immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Following the race, M Dee (EASY SNIP) reported that his mount did not feel comfortable in its action throughout the event. A veterinary inspection of EASY SNIP immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. Before being allowed to race again, EASY SNIP will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
ROUND THE GLOBE, MAGIC SUPREME and PINS PRINCE were sent for sampling.
